Update on where we are

Scottish Community Development CentreThe Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC) spoke to people about what they want the Open Government Action Plan to do across the themes of trust and transparency, anti-corruption and accountability, ethical use of technology and open data, and public participation.

Read the summary and snapshot report reflecting workshop discussions in March.

The final report is being prepared, and we will use it to review the findings from this process and take decisions about what the Action Plan will look like.

While SCDC are preparing the final report, here are our plans for continuing co-creation throughout the summer and into the  autumn.

June-July

The Open Government team will start drafting an outline of the Action Plan based on the reports from SCDC. This will set out the main direction of the plan.

July-September

We will continue to co-create actions with Scottish Government teams, community groups and other people outside government. It is important that we develop and agree together on the first pieces of work that will be included under the plan.

September-October

Once the detail of the Action Plan is agreed, we need to send this to the Open Government Partnership for them to publish this for everyone to see.

We can then start delivery! Building a trustworthy and transparent Scotland together.
