Cloud Services – Prior Information Notice
July 19, 2018 by Eddie Chapman No Comments | Category framework agreements, ICT, Prior Information Notice, Procurement news
Scottish Procurement has issued a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for a potential collaborative arrangement for Cloud Services. Analysis for any new arrangement will look to develop and build upon the current collaborative Hosting Services framework agreement which is due to expire in May 2019.
The scope of the new collaborative arrangement is still being developed however the broad scope is expected to include:
- Public cloud services
- Private cloud services
- Co-location services
- Community cloud services
- Hybrid cloud services
- Cloud enablement services
While infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) are likely to be considered key requirements of any future cloud services arrangement, it is likely that software as a service (SaaS) would be out of scope, being delivered by alternative arrangements.
We’re currently considering the structure of the framework in terms of scope (as listed above) and potential lots.
The PIN has been issued to provide advance notice to the market and to encourage suppliers to provide their views on any potential opportunity.
