Project: Supplier Journey
The Supplier Journey is the first of its kind – an innovative, free, online resource to help all suppliers who would like to work on Scottish public sector contracts. What’s more – it’s open and accessible to suppliers around the world.
It was launched in June 2018 with stakeholders involved at every stage of the project – from over 2,600 suppliers offering their views through a targeted survey at the outset, to forums and working groups reviewing and agreeing recommendations at the later stages.
The Supplier Journey answers the main questions that public sector suppliers have in an easy to understand format using plain English. It is updated continually to meet legislation or policy changes and promotes best practice and consistency.
Scottish Government is committed to working smarter and more efficiently and the Supplier Journey is helping us achieve that – information can be accessed 24 hours a day, and queried and updated without additional resources or cost. Over 4,000 users have visited the site since its launch, from over 66 countries – exceeding expectations on a global scale.
