Project – Delivering the CGPSS strategy
The CGPSS strategy is to support the Scottish Public Sector Reform programme, by encouraging collaboration, sharing knowledge and best practice, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations, and delivering cost savings and wider benefits for partners.
It was developed in consultation with the Scottish Government Procurement Capability Group, potential Central Government partners and the Scottish Government Legal Department with the principles of collaboration and collective governance at its core.
Delivered by experienced procurement specialists and tailored to the partner’s requirements, our service includes:
• end to end procurements which comply with procurement best practice/EU legislation
• supplementing skill gaps and workload peaks
• ensuring compliant governance documentation is in place
We’re also proud of a long list of successes since April 2015, including:
• Training delivered to over 500 people
• 228 contracts awarded with a total value of £98 million
• 7% cash savings of £7 million (exceeding our 5% target)
• 31% of our contracts awarded to SMEs
When using our service there are no delays – our team hit the ground running due to their public sector expertise. Flexible and tailored, it is designed for the customer by the customer. We have received amazing customer support for our transformation since 2014 and our service goes from strength to strength.
