The renewed Commodities for Supported Businesses framework was awarded in late December 2018. The framework will run for an initial period of two years, expiring in December 2020, with the option to extend to December 2022.
A wide range of quality goods and services will be provided through the framework which is divided into four lots:
• Lot 1 – furniture and associated products
• Lot 2 – document management
• Lot 3 – personal protective equipment and uniforms
• Lot 4 – signage
Good for communities
In providing high quality goods and services at competitive prices, supported businesses in Scotland play a valuable role in assisting disabled and disadvantaged people to integrate into the labour market. In turn this helps deliver positive outcomes for individuals and our communities.
Supported businesses make an important contribution to the Scottish economy. Not only through the goods and services they deliver, but by providing meaningful employment, training and social support for those who may otherwise be excluded from the workplace.
Please share this blog with any interested parties and potential framework users within your organisation or sector.
If you have any questions about the framework, reserving contracts or supported businesses in general please contact Scott McCrindle, Collaborative Delivery Manager on 0141 242 5759 or Iain Miller, Senior Portfolio Specialist on 0141 242 0454, or email supported business mailbox.
