Office Equipment framework supplier support

July 22, 2020 by No Comments | Category COVID-19, Environment, framework agreements, ICT, Procurement news, Scottish Procurement, SMEs

Our Office Equipment framework suppliers are working hard to meet the demands of customers in these challenging times. While NHS calls are being prioritised as much as possible, suppliers are continuing to provide support across all sectors.

As well as ensuring their technicians have the necessary PPE when attending a service call, equipment and machines are sanitised before and after work is undertaken.

As part of the framework, you can audit your current print estate and identify areas where you can rationalise the number of devices to relieve pressure on ICT resources, reduce print volumes and the environmental impact.

Using innovative solutions

In anticipation of staff returning to the workplace, suppliers are promoting innovative solutions. One of these is the use of Artificial Intelligence voice control, with enterprise-grade security on devices to provide a touch-free print process. Suppliers are also able to provide digitisation services to home workers who need to send and receive secure documents from their device wherever they are.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Services case study

This case study by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) shows how they used the Office Equipment Framework Agreement to consolidate their multi-supplier estate and rationalise their devices by running a mini competition. Through the introduction of print management workflow software the SFRS were able to reduce their print volumes and costs significantly in 2019.
