‘Quick Quotes’ and how buyers can find suppliers on Public Contracts Scotland

July 11, 2022 by No Comments | Category PCS, Public Contracts Scotland, Useful tools

Over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing a series of short blogs to help you get the most out of Public Contracts Scotland (PCS).

Did you know that as a buyer on PCS you can search for suppliers in a number of different ways?

When you log in to your PCS account you will see these options in the “Buyers Area” under “Supplier Finder”.

You will find the following option:

  • Supplier Finder – This allows you to quickly find goods and services advertised by suppliers who have registered for a Supplier Finder Profile. This is an optional service for suppliers so not all suppliers registered on PCS will also be registered with a Supplier Finder Profile.
  • Search by Details – Search all suppliers registered on PCS by name, company and email. This could be useful if you know a specific supplier is already registered on PCS or you want to check if a supplier is registered on PCS.
  • Search by Category – This search allows you to search for supplies who have registered under CPV codes. Not all suppliers on PCS register for an Alert profile. This is an optional service for suppliers.

Using the supplier search options can help you identify new suppliers when you are going out to invite suppliers to tender for Quick Quote.

View the updated Quick Quote Reference Guide for Buyers for further guidance.

Find out more about using PCS at the next ‘Using Public Contracts Scotland’ webinar hosted by Supplier Development Programme. 14 September, 11am – 12pm.
