In May 2024, we held a series of Public Procurement Policy Training for Scotland sessions. These were run by Morton Fraser MacRoberts LLP in collaboration with the Scottish Procurement and Property Directorate.
The training focused on how to robustly implement Scottish Procurement Policy Notes and SG procurement policy in the following key areas:
- Procurement Strategies and Annual Reporting
- Community Benefits
- Fair Work First
- Climate Change
- World Trade Organisation (WTO)/Sanctions
- Cash flow: Prompt Payment and Project Bank Accounts
- Recent SPPNs in the Construction Sector
The training also covered the following current and topical areas of interest:
- Light touch regime/health and social care
- Contract modification and Direct Awards
- Framework Agreements
For ease we have split the recording into two parts, each is around an hour long. The videos are supported by the slide pack, relevant case summaries, and a Q&A document.
Please find the recordings free of charge through the Professional Practice and Development Knowledge Hub. This is a group for public sector procurement professionals to discuss procurement and commercial learning opportunities.
