One month to go until Meet the Buyer National 2025

The countdown to Scotland’s largest free procurement event is on. The 16th annual Meet the Buyer National will take place at Murrayfield Stadium on Wednesday 4 June 2025, from 9:30am to 3:30pm.

Meet the Buyer National is hosted by the Supplier Development Programme and partnered by Scottish Government and Scotland Excel.

Why should you attend?

This in-person event provides Scottish businesses with an opportunity to connect with public sector buyers and private sector main contractors, to discuss contract and supply chain opportunities.

Meet the Buyer National is the perfect place for suppliers to discover how they can win their share of Scotland’s £16.6 billion annual public sector procurement spend.

Who’s exhibiting?

Public sector exhibitors at Meet the Buyer include headline partners, as well as buyers from Historic Environment Scotland, Northern Lighthouse Board, PfH, Police Scotland, Registers of Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Procurement Alliance, Social Security Scotland and Transport Scotland.

19 Scottish Local Authorities will also be in attendance, including Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, City of Edinburgh, Dumfries and Galloway, East Lothian, Falkirk, Fife, Glasgow City, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Scottish Borders and West Lothian Councils.

Additionally, we are delighted to welcome several zones to this year’s event, including:

  • Aberdeen Hydrogen Hub Zone sponsored by bp Aberdeen Hydrogen Hub
  • Education Zone sponsored by Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC)
  • Food Industry Zone sponsored by Brakes (a Sysco Company)
  • Health Zone sponsored by NHS National Services Scotland

Private sector exhibitors will include Acrow Bridge, Balfour Beatty Construction, Ogilvie Construction, RJ McLeod, Robertson Facilities Management, Vattenfall and Wills Bros Civil Engineering Ltd.

Business support bodies will also be on hand to provide information and support to help you grow your business, including the Supplier Development Programme, Federation of Small Businesses, Police CyberAlarm and Scottish Enterprise.

Keynote sessions

Alongside networking opportunities, delegates can gain top tendering tips, by attending speaker sessions in the keynote arena. Ivan McKee MSP, Minister for Public Finance, will deliver the Keynote Address to open the event. Additional sessions will include a ‘Quick Quotes Made Easy’ workshop, as well as presentations from bp Aberdeen Hydrogen Hub, Scotland Excel, Scottish Government, and more…

The final agenda is set to be released soon – keep an eye on the Meet the Buyer event page for speaker announcements.
