New blog platform
February 28, 2017 by gerryscullion 2 Comments | Category Communities and third sector, Economy, Education, Environment and climate change, Farming and rural, Health and social care, Justice, Public Sector, Uncategorized
We are piloting this new blog platform which we’ll use to post updates on important announcements about Scottish Official statistics, our statistics publications, consultations and events. This is likely to replace the ScotStat automated email system that we currently use to provide updates on announcements, if the pilot is successful.
The blog is openly available so anyone can access it. Just like the ScotStat email system you can subscribe to receive automatic email when blog stories of interest to you are published and it is responsively designed so you can access it from any device whether mobile, tablet or laptop/ desktop.
We’re initially piloting the blog with 3 topics only:
- Economy
- Farming and Rural
- Health and Social Care
If you want to ensure that you continue to receive automated updates on any of the above topics please use the Subscription Service to sign up to any or all of the above topics of content.
We’re keen to receive your feedback on the blog. Please get in touch by email to statistics.enquiries@gov.scot, by phone on tel 0131 244 0442 or by commenting on this blog post.
We will keep you up-to-date on the pilot using the ScotStat email system and this blog.

Thanks for the feedback Rona – Please use the Subscription Service link in the blog post. There you will get options for subscribing to all blog posts or category specific blogs.
We are aware of the issue with the email link.
Hi
I have been trying to sign up for the new Blog by using the email button on your web page but it says that ‘The feed does not have subscriptions by email enabled’
Just thought you should be aware
