Round-up of Autumn Lead Partner Event – 25 October 2023

On Wednesday 25 October, over 100 stakeholders and representatives from the Managing Authority (MA) of the 2014-20 European Social Fund (ESF) and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programme attended the 2023 Autumn Lead Partner Event.

This event was held virtually via Microsoft Teams to ensure as many stakeholders as possible could attend.

Hilary Pearce, Head of the MA, opened the event by outlining the past, present and future of the programmes, and reminding attendees of the upcoming claim deadlines and priorities. The agenda featured presentations about:

• the importance of inputting ESF data accurately and how to avoid common mistakes
• the closure of the programmes, including key deadlines and operation closure report process
• replacement funding of ESF/ERDF and the Scottish Government’s role in regional ecominc policy

Feedback survey results

22 attendees responded to the feedback survey:

• 2 rated the event as ‘very good’, 12 ‘good’, 7 ‘fair’ and 1 ‘poor’
• They appreciated the information about closure, upcoming deadlines and replacement funding
• They think the event could have been improved with guest speakers and interactive presentations
• Suggested future topics include lessons learned from the 2014-20 programmes
