Funeral Director: Code of Practice Consultation Report

In 2019 the Burial and Cremation Team at the Scottish Government carried out a consultation on the draft Funeral Director: Code of Practice.

The Analysis Report of this consultation is now published here.

We appreciate the time given by respondents to the consultation. The results of the analysis will help inform future revisions to the Code.

We remain keen to hear from members of the funeral industry who have small, independent, or rural businesses, or offer non-traditional approaches to funerals, to further inform the Code as it is being finalised.  On 13 January we posted a blog inviting those members of the funeral industry to take part in online focus groups to discuss the Code.
