The Scottish Government is running two online consultation engagement events to discuss the collection of consultations on funeral sector regulation. The events are open to members of the public and of the funeral sector. The events will take place on 24 October 2023 (12:00 – 13:00) and 2 November 2023 (18:30 – 19:30) and will give you an opportunity to ask any questions you have on the following consultations:
- Alkaline hydrolysis (‘water cremation’)
- Burial
- Inspection of burial authorities, cremation authorities and funeral directors
- Licensing of funeral directors
If you would like to attend an event, please register for a session on Eventbrite. Please note that each event will be limited to 25 attendees (if demand is greater than this, we intend to schedule an additional event).
Tuesday 24 October (12:00 – 13:00)
Thursday 2 November (18:30 – 19:30)
The consultations close on 17 November 2023 and you are encouraged to respond to the consultations and share you views with us.
