Updated sustainable procurement duty tools

August 14, 2019 by No Comments | Category Fair Work, Sustainability, Uncategorized, Useful tools

Using our sustainable procurement tools can help to optimise economic, social and environmental outcomes of procurement activity. They can also help you comply with the Sustainable Procurement Duty. The Prioritisation Tool and the Sustainability Test have been updated to include revised indicators for Fair Work and equality.

What changes have been made?

  • The Fair Work indicator now takes account of the Fair Work First default position
  • The equality indicator now helps identify and pursue equality outcomes
  • The equality supporting guidance has been updated in line with the Fair Work indicator

Chris Oswald of the Equality and Human Rights Commission said: “The equality supporting guidance is really good, covers the bases and sets the right tone.”

All the sustainable procurement tools and supporting guidance are available on our website.

These resources will continue to be developed and your feedback is welcome. Please send your comments to the Scottish Procurement mailbox.
