Scottish Procurement’s framework agreements continue to deliver excellent benefits to public sector organisations. University of Aberdeen and Fife Council have produced video case studies to showcase what the Office Equipment framework suppliers can achieve through reducing the number of multi-functional devices (MFDs) and taking control over printing costs.
University of Aberdeen
The university have a long-running partnership with one of our framework suppliers and a local service provider. They have implemented a digital strategy to improve the workflow capabilities for their 16,000 students and 2,500 staff across multiple sites.
In the above video, Assistant Director Dean Phillips provides an overview and outlines the vision for the university print fleet.
The project delivered a number of benefits:
- Reduced number of devices (removed 35% of printers)
- Reduced the print volumes year-on-year
- Reduced toner costs and, in turn, environmental waste
- Improved staff productivity with quicker recovery times after sleep mode so less time waiting for first-time prints
The project and service will continue to evolve and improve.
Fife Council
Earlier in 2019 we shared a Fife Council case study highlighting the benefits they have achieved by using the Office Equipment framework.
A follow up case study has been produced along with the video above. Ken Gourlay, Head of Assets, Transportation and Environment at Fife Council, explains how they used their strategic business partnership to refresh their managed print service (MPS).
Innovative, efficient and sustainable
We have multiple suppliers on the office equipment framework who are experts in their field, providing solutions that are innovative, efficient and sustainable. The framework also delivers a range of community benefits – ask your supplier what they can do for you.
