Delivering environmental and socio-economic benefits through the Facilities Services Management Contract for the Scottish Government estate.
The Scottish Government uses the power of procurement to improve the lives of people in Scotland by placing sustainability at the heart of the procurement process.
Our Facilities Services Management Contract, awarded in 2021, will deliver a range of sustainability outcomes over its duration, including environmental benefits, equality and fair work practices, community benefits, and opportunities for SMEs and sub-contracting. The Procurement Team embedded sustainability into the contract through early engagement with stakeholders and sustainability experts, and through utilisation of the Sustainable Procurement Tools.
You can read more about their procurement process and the benefits secured over on the new Case Studies section of the Sustainable Procurement Tools website.
