February 1, 2022 by Melissa Reilly No Comments | Category climate change, net zero, Procurement news, Scottish Procurement, suppliers, Sustainability, Sustainable Procurement, Sustainable Procurement Tools, Useful tools
Updated Carbon and Energy Consumption Guidance is now live on the Sustainable Procurement Tools website. The guidance is concerned with the procurement of energy-using equipment or the use of energy in the delivery of a service that is being procured. The aim being to minimise or, where practicable, avoid carbon emissions.
The resource provides relevant procurement guidance, aligned with the Procurement Journey and includes an Annex of example contract clauses and key performance indicators.
New, more user-friendly formatting means users can navigate easily between sections and can download the full guide into a Word document which can be printed and shared with relevant key stakeholders.
This guidance may be considered, where relevant, alongside socio-economic and other Climate Change guides – Carbon in Production – Vehicle emissions – Climate Change Adaptation which we are in the process of updating. Further information on the re-launch of these materials to follow.’
