October 13, 2022 by Melissa Reilly No Comments | Category conference, procurex
There’s now just two weeks to go until the Scottish Government 17th National Procurement Conference returns live in venue at the SEC Glasgow on Thursday 27 October 2022.
This one-day event, which runs alongside Procurex Scotland, attracts over 400 buyers, heads of department and contract managers responsible for managing the national public procurement expenditure of £13.3+ billion a year.
This is the second of our “Conference Countdown” videos where we’ll hear from the Heads of the Centres of Expertise – Scotland Excel, Scottish Government, APUC and NHS National Services Scotland.
Our second video asks participants what they’re most looking forward to about this year’s event… (Transcript at end of page)
This year’s conference will provide attendees with an invaluable insight into the latest developments and opportunities across Scotland and is designed to support your learning and development objectives, as well as help public procurement professionals work towards the four main outcomes for procurement – good for business and employees, good for society, good for places and communities and open and connected.

Multi speaker Transcript:
Julie Welsh: I’m really excited to bring everyone together again and I really enjoy ProcureX.
I’ve been attending now for about, I think it’s 12 years so I’ve seen the evolution and the most important thing for me is the ability to be able to network with colleagues past and present.
Barry Graham: It’s going to feel really positive meeting people, sometimes for the first time, face to face and meeting old friends so very much looking forward to it.
Angus Warren: I think it’s great because the networks will be established. I think a lot of people, particularly cross sector the only time they physically met was at the Procurex event so having people together again will make a really big difference.
Gordon Beattie: Please do come along it will be such a great event.
We’ve had a few of these in person events over the last year and every one has been fantastic.
