Buying Social Justice through Procurement
February 21, 2023 by Melissa Reilly No Comments | Category Sustainable Procurement, Sustainable Procurement Tools
In the spirit of being ‘Open and Connected’, we’d like to let our public procurement and property community know about an interesting research project, in which our colleagues contributed to the research consultation.
The ‘Buying Social Justice’ project has published its first blog, ‘A three-nations perspective on creating social value’. This report recognises Scotland’s positive approach to seeking social outcomes through public procurement that is:
- Good for Businesses and their Employees
- Good for Society
- Good for Places and Communities
- Open and Connected
This encouraging read comes ahead of the publication next week of our Review of sustainable procurement over the last 20 years. Be sure to subscribe to our blog and follow our social channels to be first to hear about this exciting Review being published.
Readers may also be interested in accessing the free Sustainable Procurement Tools which have been designed to help public sector organisations identify and address how they can optimise the economic, social and environmental outcomes of their procurement activity.
