6th Annual Meet the Buyer North

Meet the Buyer North brings businesses together for the largest free procurement event in the North of Scotland

There are just two months to go until the 6^th annual Meet the Buyer North event, which takes place on Tuesday, 12 September 2023 at the Music Halls in Aberdeen.

This in-person event is an opportunity for businesses in the North of Scotland to engage with Scotland’s public sector and find out about upcoming contracts and business opportunities worth £14.5bn annually in Scotland.

Meet the Buyer North 2023

Meet the Buyer North is officially supported by The Scottish Government. In addition, Supplier Development Programme member, the Commercial and Procurement Shared Services will join Meet the Buyer North as a headline partner. Other confirmed exhibitors include Historic Environment Scotland and Scottish Procurement Alliance.

This free event affords suppliers that wish to do business in the North of Scotland, including the Highlands and Islands, crucial access to buyers and decision makers from across the public and private sectors. Businesses can network one-to-one and enquire about upcoming contract and framework opportunities.

Suppliers will also have the opportunity to listen to presentations on a wide range of topics and ask any burning questions during question & answer sessions. The action-packed agenda is set to include Richard Lochhead MSP, Minister for Small Business, Innovation, Tourism and Trade, delivering the Ministerial Address, and joining an open panel discussion to talk all things procurement with SMEs and Third Sector Organisations.

Businesses of all sizes can learn about tendering for projects and contractors and gather information from buyers on their plans for the supply of goods, works and services in the North of Scotland. Businesses will also be able to gather free resources and pick up Top Tips on how to bid for upcoming contracts from the Supplier Development Programme.

Whilst Meet the Buyer events are aimed towards micro, small and medium sized organisations, businesses of all sizes are encouraged to register for a free place via the SDP website to secure attendance at Meet the Buyer North on 12 September ‘23, as well as the 2^nd annual Meet the Buyer South on 3 October ‘23.
