Boost for renewable energy

Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy Paul Wheelhouse visited Levenmouth to announce new funding for cutting edge renewable technology and to meet interns learning about the sector.
The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, a leading offshore renewable research centre will receive, £215,000 to develop a digital clone of their demonstration offshore wind turbine. Watch Mr Wheelhouse visit the impressive platform in the video below.
The Energy Skills Partnership will receive £85,000 to support their virtual reality and work training programmes. Here’s the team showcasing their programme.
He was also delighted to meet the ORE catapult’s interns, highlighting the future of this key industry.
