Delivery and financial end dates of the 2014-20 ESIF programmes

March 8, 2022 by No Comments | Category Updates

At our 2021 Annual Event, we announced end dates of the 2014-2020 ESIF programmes. The dates were subsequently communicated in our December e-bulletin and also published on our blog.

Now that the closure of the 2014-20 ESIF Programmes is in sight, it is vital that we work together to maximise our payments and claims, deliver the outputs and achievements, and meet the upcoming deadlines.

In terms of end date for delivery of operations, the absolute limit remains 30 September 2023.

The financial end date is 31 December 2023. Expenditure must be fully defrayed by then; any defrayal after 31 December 2023 will be ineligible for grant.

For Lead Partners wishing to extend operations to September 2023, the Lead Partner will be required to put forward a full justification for MAAP consideration. Management operations can extend beyond the delivery date but must be in line with the financial end date.

Please note that the latest date for final claim submission is 31 January 2024. There is zero flexibility with this date due to the tight timescale for closure of the programme.

As ever, we advise that Lead Partners should discuss end dates with their Portfolio and Compliance Manager before submitting a change request.
