Marine Scotland on show in Peterhead

Marine Scotland have launched their first exhibition at the Arbuthnot Museum in Peterhead.

The exhibition is packed with information about where Marine Scotland has come from and looks at the history of fisheries protection, marine and fisheries science and the role that Government has played in marine and fisheries over the years.

It also looks at Marine Scotland’s priorities moving forward, like aquaculture, marine renewable energy and marine planning.

There are pictures, artifacts, videos and models of some of our ships as well as our popular market stall cart, which has a underwater scene built in, and you can check out some wee beasties with the built in microscope.

The exhibition is free and runs until 17th August.
