Our Cabinet Secretary launches new Dynamic Purchasing System for Digital Services
October 26, 2017 by Sarah McLeod No Comments | Category contracts, Scottish Procurement, SMEs
Derek Mackay, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Constitution, launched our new Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Digital Services at our National Procurement Conference earlier this week.
There has been significant interest from digital technology suppliers to join the DPS and on launch there was over 240 suppliers on-boarded of which 75% are small and medium sized enterprises. Suppliers can continue join the DPS at any time (see our Suppliers Guide) so we expect that number to grow.
The DPS will allow organisations to run tenders through it, with immediate effect, relating to the delivery of digital services within the 3 lots : Digital Projects; Digital Resources; and Cyber Security Services.
The DPS is a fully electronic system and organisations can now run their tenders through the PCS-Tender system or alternatively use other electronic processes to run their tenders – see Buyers Guide.
