ScotlandIS has launched a report on the Public Sector ICT Expenditure in Scotland using data for current and projected spend. It hopes the report will make it easier for suppliers to assess market opportunities and make informed investment decisions.
The report, produced in partnership with Scottish Government, breaks down spend by the public sector on ICT over the past six years as well as forecasting outlays up to 2021. It looks at various segments of the market and highlights opportunities for businesses to win contracts.
The report predicts an increase in spend on mobile and flexible working. The move to the cloud in both private and hybrid forms is forecast to continue and increased public sector spend on cyber security hardware and software is also expected.
Breakfast briefings to launch the report will take place in Edinburgh (Wednesday 17 January) and Glasgow (Thursday 18 January) and will be joined by Scottish Procurement. The events will outline the key opportunities on the public sector ICT market and give attendees advice on ways to make the best of these opportunities.
