The Sustainable Procurement Tools are being updated
October 16, 2019 by Lorraine Carlyle No Comments | Category climate change, Environment, Fair Work, Procurement news, Scottish Procurement, Sustainability, Sustainable Procurement Tools
The Sustainable Procurement Tools were produced to help public bodies improve economic, social and environmental outcomes of procurement activity. Using the tools helps organisations comply with the sustainable procurement duty. During this time some of the content has been updated, most recently – fairly and ethically traded, Fair Work and equality.
Two key announcements have provided the incentive for us to review all the content. The launch of the new National Performance Framework in June 2018 and the Global Climate Emergency declared earlier this year.
We are asking public bodies for their input to update the tools. We will be holding workshops in November.
