Our Construction Procurement Policy Unit hosted their first webinar as part of The Construction Procurement Sessions: A Series of Webinars on the 23 November.
These webinars are for all those with an interest in public sector construction procurement in Scotland. The aim is to promote the guidance the Construction Procurement Policy Unit has available and to engage with stakeholders on topical areas within the construction industry.
The first webinar focused on the Client Guide to Construction Projects. Made up of three separate handbooks, it provides guidance to assist public sector clients and contracting authorities to manage and procure construction projects. The webinar covered the Client Guide to Construction Project’s purpose, target audience and some specifications of the guidance. The presentation talked through in the webinar is available here.
There was a question and answer session at the end in which we engaged with attendees on matters such as alignment with other guidance, prompt payment and project bank accounts.
Subsequent webinars in The Construction Procurement Sessions will occur in early 2022.
