Our Construction Procurement Policy Unit hosted their third webinar as part of The Construction Procurement Sessions: A Series of Webinars.

These webinars are for all those with an interest in public sector construction procurement in Scotland. The aim is to promote the guidance the Construction Procurement Policy Unit has available and to engage with stakeholders on topical areas within the construction industry.

This webinar covered the newly published Construction Capability Assessment Tool (CCAT). The CCAT is a self-assessment tool designed to assist public contracting authorities understand how they are positioned to deliver construction projects. It is designed to encourage reflection and discussion and to help organisations understand the size and complexity of projects that they are capable of delivering within their current organisational set up. It also helps reflect on what, if any, additional resource or expertise might be required when delivering specific projects.

The webinar consisted of a presentation and a follow up question and answer session.

The presentation covered the following key points of the CCAT:

  • background
  • purpose
  • who it’s for
  • contents
  • how to use it
  • next steps

If you wish to see the presentation used in the webinar please contact Alison.Lannon@gov.scot.

Subsequent webinars in The Construction Procurement Sessions will occur throughout the year, make sure to follow us on our social media channels to keep up to date!
