Public Procurement and Property

Latest update from the Procurement People of Tomorrow (PPoT)

January 24, 2023 by No Comments | Category Procurement People of Tomorrow

Recent years have seen the procurement profession catapulted in to the public eye, with procurement teams across the world responding to critical and very challenging global supply chain shortages. They’ve risen to the challenge and delivered a robust response, with the current focus being on leveraging the profession to enable an inclusive and green economic recovery.

This is an exciting time to join the procurement profession!

The Procurement People of Tomorrow (PPoT) programme aims to play its part in the recovery by meeting our core objective – increasing the uptake and awareness of the procurement profession and helping to get young people and career changers in to the workforce. Our environment has changed and our challenges along with it, but people remain at the heart of our profession and a continued high-performing workforce is essential for the challenges ahead.

The impact we can make through procurement has never been more visible, from creating resilient and responsive supply chains to get PPE to the front lines or food packages to the vulnerable, to setting up urgent testing programmes.
