Seeking views on how digital technologies can transform delivery of the building standards system

August 23, 2021 by No Comments | Category Building Standards, digital, Futures Board

The Building Standards Futures Board has confirmed their agreement with our plans for the digital transformation of the building standards system in Scotland. Delivery of this transformation will be done in partnership with industry, and Local Authority Building Standards Scotland (LABSS) who represent all of the building standards professionals employed in local authorities.

As this work is at an early stage, we would appreciate a wide range of views from customers of the building standards system to identify priorities for change. LABSS are best placed consider these issues and they have launched an online survey to gather your views on how technology can improve the customer experience and compliance with building regulations.

The survey will close on Friday 1 October 2021.

The survey asks questions about how the current system could be improved with a focus on the use of technology to deliver services. The views of people who have used the building standards system and can tell us about their experience is an essential part of our information gathering.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and tell us what improvements you would like to see this digital transformation deliver.
