European Structural Funds Lead Partner Events a success

September 7, 2017 by No Comments | Category Events

The first of our new lead partner events took place last week in Glasgow’s Trades Hall. We intend to have these events on a regular basis.

The event was opened by David Anderson, the Head of European Structural & Investment Funds. This was followed by a number of presentations from European Structural Funds and Audit Authority colleagues providing updates, passing on lessons learned and presenting future plans.

The events covered:

  • a general update
  • outcome of the review
  • claims
  • procurement
  • audit checks
  • publicity and communications
  • what’s next

All lead partners were represented and feedback following the events has been very positive. We’d like to thank everyone for coming along and for contributing to a positive day.

We look forward to running future lead partner events to collaborate, share more of best practices and provide networking opportunities.

For anyone who was unable to attend here is a copy of the slides. Please note a slide on grants and procurement has been added post event to answer some of the questions raised on the day.

We’d like to gather feedback and have published a questionnaire at https://surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WNQDJN

There are 10 questions so shouldn’t take too long to complete and we’d be grateful for any comments and welcome any questions arising from the day and for suggestions for future events. The survey will be available until Friday 22 September.

We are planning on having another big event in February 2018 but may also run a smaller more focussed event in November depending on feedback.

If you were unable to attend this time around we still want to hear from you. Please send any suggestions to europeanstructuralfunds@gov.scot.

Watch out for our lead partner newsletter out in November for details on our next event.
