“Following the Call for Abstracts on 13th January, the Environmental Interactions of Marine Renewables devices (EIMR) conference, a Marine Scotland Partnership Event within Homecoming Scotland 2014, will take place in Stornoway in the last week of April.

The main conference is on the Wednesday and Thursday and will include mix of papers on interactions with the power resource and with the environment, including a session on social aspects.  However, the conference is only a part of a week of activity:

  • On Tuesday, there is a full day workshop on Instrumentation and Monitoring of wave and tidal projects
  • On Friday, there are four Workshops covering cumulative impacts, statistics of spatial distributions, risk management and collision risk for tidal turbines.

Marine Scotland Science will be involved in about six papers, and chair a couple of Workshops.  Full information at www.eimr.org
