The preparations have begun, and are in full swing, in the Marine Laboratory for tomorrow’s Doors Open Day event.

Why not join us for a tour around some of our buildings on the campus and learn more about our history – did you know we have been here, in Torry, since 1923?Scientists dress-up

There will also be some activities for all the family to take part in. This year we have a large collection of unusual fish caught during our trips on the MRV Scotia, some hands-on experiments and microscopes for you to try out, marine litter talks and examples of how marine mammals use underwater sounds for their survival.

We will also have some laboratory dress-up going on in the conference room, so come along and take a selfie or a welfie!

Our be open from 10am to 4pm and are on the free Doors Open Day bus route, so for more information, go to the Doors Open Days website or follow them on Twitter or Facebook.
