Lift off for Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS)!

February 9, 2018 by 1 Comment | Category contracts, Dynamic Purchasing System, ICT, Procurement news

Our Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Digital Services has got off to a great start with the first set of call-off contracts all being awarded to SMEs.

The DPS was launched in October 2017 and allows organisations to run electronic tenders for the delivery of Digital Services within 3 lots:

  • Digital Projects
  • Digital Resources
  • Cyber Security Services

Denis McFadden, Senior Portfolio Manager of the ICT Collaborative Team, said “The DPS is proving to be extremely popular and we are delighted that the first contracts are being awarded to SMEs. A considerable number of opportunities are being tendered under the DPS that will come to completion over the next few weeks and months.”

What could the DPS do for you?

If you are a public sector consumer of Digital Services then the DPS might have just the solution you’re looking for. If you are a digital supplier then you can still join the DPS to offer your services.

To find out how to join or for any other DPS queries, please contact Margaret Anne McKeown at margaretanne.mckeown@gov.scot or phone 0141 242 0111.

The DPS is a brilliant initiative and one that we and many other SMEs will find a huge boost to our efforts to engage with the Public Sector and actually do some business within the sector. It’s not without some teething troubles but it is a genuine and effective attempt to open the doors to SMEs to complete for Government agency business and this is to be highly commended. Thanks very much. Andy
