There’s less than a week left to enter Scotland Excel’s biennial Supplier Excellence Awards. There are eight categories including a new one – Small Business and Third Sector. This new category is for businesses and social enterprises with fewer than 20 employees.

The awards are free to enter and recognise the innovation and excellence of suppliers who go the extra mile to support the delivery of public services.

Councillor John Shaw, Convener of Scotland Excel, said: “Scotland Excel is at the forefront of procurement for local government and we work hard to ensure public procurement supports the sustainable delivery of quality services across Scotland’s communities. Our suppliers play a vital role in this and the Supplier Excellence Awards are designed to recognise exceptional achievement.”

The eight award categories are:

• Community Benefits
• Customer Service
• Environmental Practices
• Innovation
• Partnership Working
• Workforce Development
• Small Business and Third Sector
• Value for Money

Suppliers to Scotland Excel’s members and associate members can enter and the closing date is Wednesday 6 November at 12.00 pm.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and dinner at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday 20 February 2020, which coincides with Scotland Excel’s annual conference on 20 and 21 February.
