Scottish Parliament debate Fair Work and procurement practices

Following the recent announcement on real Living Wage conditionality for winning public sector contracts, on 2 November 2021. Mr Lochhead, MSP, Minister for Just Transition, Employment and Fair Work opened a parliamentary debate on ‘A Progressive Approach to Sustainable Procurement and Fair Work Practices’.
Mr Lochhead covered the recent policy updates to Fair Work guidance and applying these in relevant procurements. This debate forms part of our continued engagement with key stakeholders. We’re grateful to the members that took part, their questions help us to continue to build the connection between sustainable procurement and Scotland’s fair and green recovery.
