Borderlands Growth Deal

Infrastructure Secretary Michael Matheson joined Borderlands partners to sign the Heads of Terms for the Borderlands Growth Deal, confirming the Scottish Government will invest up to £85 million to deliver inclusive growth across the region.

Research and Development

Business Minister Jamie Hepburn announced a £1million Scottish Enterprise research and development grant for medical technology company Novosound.

China visit

Trade and Investment Minister Ivan McKee visited China this week to promote the growing economic, cultural and educational links between Scotland and the world’s second largest economy. During his visit he also launched the “Year of Coasts and Waters 2020” for VisitScotland.
