Trade and Investment Minister visits China – Days Three and Four

Trade and Investment Minister Ivan McKee is visiting China this week to promote the growing economic, cultural and educational links between Scotland and the world’s second largest economy.

On the third and fourth days of his visit, Mr McKee undertook a series of engagements in Beijing and Shanghai. He participated in a Social Enterprise Academy roundtable and spoke at a low carbon innovation event with the UK/China Low Carbon College to promote Scotland’s low carbon credentials including recent participation in China’s Arctic Circle Summit. He also met with the Office of the Mayor – Shanghai, Lingang.

Mr McKee met with a range of companies to promote Scottish-Chinese business collaboration too – Peak Scientific, Weir Group, FOSUN and Broadex – as well as witnessing the signing of an agreement between Scottish company Sunamp and its Chinese partner Gomon Renewable Energy Development Co.
