National Islands Plan

Island communities are being encouraged to shape the first ever National Islands Plan through a national consultation, which closes today (26 July).
The Plan will set out how the Scottish Government, local authorities and other public agencies might work to improve outcomes for island communities. Scottish Ministers will be asked to report back to Scottish Parliament every year on progress towards the goals included in the National Islands Plan.

Trade and Investment engagements

Trade and Investment Minister Ivan McKee undertook a series of engagements in Glasgow to increase trade and investment opportunities between Scotland and Indonesia

Funding for Equi’s Ice Cream

Trade and Investment Minister Ivan McKee announced £690,000 Scottish Enterprise funding for Equi’s Ice Cream, which will facilitate the company’s move to bigger premises and create six new jobs.

The funding is a combination of a £200,000 RSA Grant and £490,000 from the Scottish Loan Scheme, part of the Scottish Government’s Scottish Growth Scheme.
