Marine Scotland regularly host work experience placements for pupils from across Scotland. In February, two pupils from two schools in Aberdeenshire spent time learning about some of the work in the laboratory.

They got to meet with Marine Scotland staff working in teams from the: Fish Health Inspectorate, Engineering, FisheriesRenewables, Zooplankton, Disease Diagnostics, Genetics, Environmental chemistry and Sensory Assessment  and they got to meet with the Scottish Government’s Chief Scientific Advisor Marine, Professor Colin Moffat.

At the end of the week they were interviewed about their experience.

    Dear Sir/Ma’am,

I was wondering if there are year-in-industry placement opportunities for the year 2024 to 2025 for university students and if so when are the applications opening.
    Thank you for your time.

    Yours Sincerely,
    Arpita Chattopadhyay
