The annual Scotland Excel conference is taking place on 20 and 21 February at the Radisson Blu hotel, Glasgow. This year’s theme is inclusive growth and what local organisations can do to support this agenda.
Discussions will be around Community Benefits, Fair Work and spending locally to benefit local and wider communities, and how we in procurement can play our part.
It is a specific aim of the conference to foster a better mutual understanding between procurement and economic development teams about the levers they each have available to support inclusive growth.
There is a full agenda for both days. The packed schedule includes a keynote speech from Dr Gary Gillespie, Scottish Government’s Chief Economic Adviser who will be talking about the government’s latest thinking on inclusive growth and wellbeing.
